DocumentIQ converts documents you upload into structured data. This page explains exactly what happens to them.

What we process

The PDF you upload, the data extracted from it, and — if you pay — the email address Stripe collects for your receipt. We do not ask for an account or a password.

Where and how long

Files are stored encrypted in Amazon Web Services (us-east-1) and are automatically deleted 24 hours after upload, whether or not the conversion succeeded. Job records (file name, page count, price, verification result) are kept for 7 days so your download link works, then deleted.

Who processes your data

• Amazon Web Services (United States, us-east-1) stores your files and runs the service.
• Anthropic reads the pages of your document through its API to extract the transactions. Under Anthropic’s commercial terms, API data is not used to train its models.
• Stripe takes your payment. Stripe is the merchant of record for your purchase and handles any VAT or sales tax; we never see your card number.

Nothing about your document’s contents is written to our logs — only page counts, prices and whether the numbers reconciled.

Your rights

Under UK and EU GDPR you can ask what we hold about you and have it deleted. Because everything is deleted within 24 hours anyway, in practice there is rarely anything left — but email us and we’ll confirm.
